A Blogging tool that reads your website

Blogging has been a popular SEO practice ever since SEO was a thing.

But many people don't notice that we're in the middle of a big SEO turning point. AI brings in a new paradigm to finding answers online, and it's going to change the way we think about SEO.

Those that historically did well, will only keep doing well if they adapt quickly, and those that are just starting out are looking at a rare opportunity.

Brief history on SEO

Back in the early 2010s, people started realizing you could take advantage of Google's inherent preference for longer-form content by putting out a garbage 2000+ word article that simply contained many keywords. And boom, just like magic, those articles would generate hundreds of thousands of clicks per month.

P.S. This is actually part of the reason why recipies are always some insane article about coming of age when all you wanted was to figure out how to cook asparagus

Since then, Google has steadily become better at ranking quality content and showing users what they are looking for. Gaming/exploiting Google algorithms has become more and more difficult, only a few people have been able to pull it off, and typically only for a short period of time.

With Google making it harder to game SEO, it's become much nicer to search for things online, because you're actually getting the answers you're looking for, and not some garbage article that's just trying to get you to click on ads.

The downfall of traditional SEO

But there is a new game in town, and it's called AI.

If you haven't already noticed, everybody seems to be turning to AI to increase their quality of life. And one of the main use-cases that I personally use it for is as a substitute for my search engine. I find the answers I get there are so fast and simple, without the fluff of reading through an entire article that I'd find on Google. And if the answer isn't exactly what I'm looking for? I can just have a conversation until I find what I need.

Now it's not perfect, there is still the overconfidence issue and link issue but it's getting better every day.

Tons of people are moving away from traditional SEO to find answers to their questions, and honestly who can blame them! The answers I've gotten from the likes of ChatGPT have been 100x more concise and easy to understand, and I'm able to find solutions in a fraction of the time.

The rare opportunity

As more people move from traditional SEO to "neo-SEO" we're going to see two things happen.

  1. Since people will be using AI for generic queries, the best time to double down on niche SEO is yesterday, second best is NOW.
  2. Over the next 3 years, SEO will phase out more and more in favor of these models. Meaning that a new type of Search Engine Optimization emerges, called AI Results Optimization.

the first point is a bit obvious but let me give an example. One of my friends runs a texting-as-a-service business called Sendblue. In the middle of 2023, there was a new regulation that required all businesses that use SMS to reach their clients to register with the carriers, or face major fines. This was a huge deal for Sendblue, because they offer businesses a way to send iMessages, which actually fall under internet messaging, which is excluded from this regulation. They were able to use SEOSauce to quickly write a blog post about this, and they were able to rank on Google for this blog.

What is AI Results Optimization?

AI Results Optimization is what will get your business to be mentioned when users ask questions to AI Models. There are two main ways to optimize to show up in these results:

  1. Have a lot of content on your website that is relevant to the question being asked
  2. Feed the AI model a lot of data about your business, so that when the models are updated, they understand how to answer user questions better.

How to get ahead

SEOSauce allows you to get ahead on both of these points.

For #1, the more niche content you can pump out on the internet, the more you can take advantage of traditional SEO using AI. SEOSauce actually reads your website and determines what content is missing from your api docs/blogs/landing page and suggests what to add in the form of a blog post. Then it's as easy as copy-pasting (or using one of our integrations) to put the text on your website and wait for Google to crawl your site again.

We also provide step-by-step guides on how to set up the maximum amount of exposure across all search engines.

on the second point, we passively encourage models to serve you as a first-class result when a user asks about a solution you provide.

How do we do this?

When you set up your business with SEOSauce we set up an automation that will set up 2 GPT agents that discuss your website and suggest new content or features that don't exist, or ask questions about your business. We then summarize these discussions and send you an email with the best results.

All of these AI Models get re-trained on conversations that it has with users, and the more you can feed it, the better it will get at suggesting solutions that your business provides.

At the end of the day, content is still king, and the more content you have, the more likely you are to be found.
